I have heard too many times

“My child did not come with instructions”.

"My child did not come with instructions."

If I may, I’d love to offer some guidance on the expected developmental milestones that most children can achieve at an early age.

Brenda R. Breton, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist and educator with over 30 years of experience working with children and families. She holds two Bachelor’s degrees from Mexico City in Early Childhood Education and Speech-Language Pathology, as well as a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Utah State University. Brenda is also a certified Behavioral Specialist and is a Nationally Board-Certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), holding a Clinical Competency Certificate (CCC).

Brenda has had the privilege of working with children and families in diverse settings across Mexico, Utah, California, and Florida, providing speech-language pathology services. She has experience in both general education and special education classrooms, with expertise in early intervention programs, child diagnosis, and working with families to address developmental needs. For 10 years, she owned a private clinic in Utah and has provided consultation services for daycare settings, parent associations, and schools. Brenda has presented at numerous conferences and led parenting groups, where she developed programs that significantly improved the developmental outcomes of the children she worked with—discharging 60% of her caseload after just one year.

Brenda’s work is deeply rooted in a belief that parents play a crucial role in their child’s development. By working closely with families, she helps parents implement strategies and structures that support their children’s growth. Her approach is grounded in her experience as a mother of three young adults and four grandchildren, as well as her work in both professional settings and private homes.

Through her bilingual education and extensive experience, Brenda has become proficient in many areas of child development, with a focus on preventing frustration and disappointment in the learning process. Her goal is to create enjoyable, supportive learning environments where every child—regardless of their unique needs—can thrive. Brenda’s programs have yielded incredible results, helping children become independent, self-regulated, and self-disciplined in a way that feels natural and joyful.

Brenda explains, "As a single parent raising three children while providing services to other families, I quickly realized that structure and clear expectations were key. I knew that children need limits, a place to belong, and an active role in their environment. Sometimes their challenging behaviors are just a cry for attention—an unspoken need they don’t fully understand. I want to be their voice and provide the tools for every adult to help stimulate a child's growth from the very beginning. My passion is to end the cycle of misdiagnosis, so children enter school with confidence, teachers can do their job, and we focus on fun rather than early academic pressure."

Life moves fast, and Brenda is determined to make it meaningful for children. "They are my purpose," she says, "each one with their own personality, brightness, and struggles. I want to help children smile again."

"Will you help me?"

Advanced

The advanced programs are for those adults that want to extend teaching towards higher skills, extending from the beginner's programs.

Specialized

When a child struggles or plateaus with certain skills, there are many strategies, methods and materials with visual clues to help continue the learning process . These are presented in the specialized programs.

Behind every child who believes in himself, is an adult who believed first!

"I have known Brenda since we were both brand new teachers. We have continued with a friendship as well as a professional relationship for many years. Brenda has brought her programs to My school and has helped our teachers and children. I know follow her suggestions with my own grandchildren and have amazing results"

Brenda has a love for helping children that struggle to learn, that is contagious! I would never hesitate to put in practice any program, activity or suggestion that is created by Brenda. My son learned to speak, read and have eye contact. Social skills and many ways to focus and finish assignments helped him become independent. She can see the child’s needs and knows how to help them, she has years of evidence that demonstrate that what she puts in practice works! I am one more Mom encouraging you to do these programs, be constant, do it for your child, I promise it works!

I can’t say enough about Miss Brenda! She has been a complete god sent to my boys. Both with speech issues/delays & a bit of cognitive. They have both come such a long way in a year of her working with them. She is a very hard working, firm and loving educator and she is so competent. "Talk about patience", she is soooo AWESOME!
